Do I need a library card?

Answer

You need a library card to check out books from our libraries. However, a card is not required to use the computers, browse the books, use tables, or enter the building.

  • KU affiliates (students, staff, faculty, etc.) can use their KU ID as a library card.
  • Haskell students, outside guests, and visitors will need a KU borrower’s card to check out materials.

To obtain a KU borrower’s card, simply request one at the Watson Library circulation desk.
