How do I find books in my subject area?

Answer

  • Use the Quick Search located under the main photo on the University of Kansas Libraries website. It is labeled "Quick search: articles, catalog, more". Go to: https://lib.ku.edu/

  • You can also browse the shelves by Library of Congress classification (https://www.loc.gov/catdir/cpso/lcco/) if you know the subject area. KU has multiple libraries, including:

    • Watson Library – Humanities, Foreign Languages, History

    • Anschutz Library – Science, Engineering, Government Documents

    • Murphy Art & Architecture Library

    • Thomas Gorton Music & Dance Library

    • Wheat Law Library

Spencer Research Library is a non-circulating library specializing in special collections and KU history.

  • Consult the corresponding library research guide. KU Libraries provides research guides to help you find resources by subject or course. Go to: https://guides.lib.ku.edu/research
