What services does the library offer to KU students enrolled in online and distance programs?
Answer
Many library services for students who are not enrolled in on-campus programs are similar to those available to KU students living near the Lawrence campus. Here’s what you need to know:
Accessing Online Resources from Home
You can access KU Libraries’ online resources from anywhere. For instructions, visit: Accessing Online Resources. https://lib.ku.edu/accessing-online-resources
Requesting Physical Materials
If you live outside Lawrence and Douglas County, KU faculty, staff, authorized affiliates, and students may request select library materials through our Home Delivery service using Retrieve from Shelf. You are responsible for returning these books. https://lib.ku.edu/services/request/home-loan-delivery
Research Assistance
All students, whether on-campus or remote, can ask a librarian for personalized research help: in real time through Ask a Librarian https://lib.ku.edu/ask-librarian or after hours (asynchronously) through Meet with a Librarian, https://lib.ku.edu/research-help.
