Why Doesn’t the KU Library Have My Textbook?

Interlibrary Loan (ILL) Options
You may attempt to request a textbook through Interlibrary Loan (ILL). However, please be aware of the following limitations:

Many academic libraries follow similar textbook collection policies.

Newer editions of textbooks are often not available through ILL.

If a textbook is available, it is most often an older edition.

Even when another institution owns a copy, it may be unavailable due to use by their own students.
How to Submit an Interlibrary Loan Request

Log in to ILLiad.

Select “Make a Request” at the top of the page.

To buy the book through KU Bookstore You can purchase your class books at the campus bookstore. Be sure to have the ISBN numbers for your books ready.
